The materials available in the VIP online shop are the result of many years of experience working in the field of supporting adult and child survivors of sexual abuse.

The books in this catalogue are written in plain English and the contents are intended to help people to support survivors of abuse rather than to shock anyone. The no-nonsense approach to a difficult subject is refreshng and makes for an easy but very informative read.

The personal safety materials are the end product of nine years working with abused children and young people, and working in schools and youth groups, to raise awareness of personal safety and violence. The abuse prevention materials are available for all ages and stages of children and are very adaptable. The VIP programme has won regional, national and internation awards for child protection, and many schools, youth groups and nurseries are using the material to great effect with a wide range of children.

The poetry books are the efforts of survivors of sexual abuse to raise awareness, break down barriers and isolation and to reach out to others. Some of the poems are written by children as young as nine. Though sad in places, all of the survivors who contributed to the books are indeed survivors and not victims
