Eighteen And Under Launches New Violence Prevention Website

The charity Eighteen And Under today launches their new violence prevention website – www.violenceispreventable.org.uk.

The site, funded by The Nationwide Foundation, aims to bring together all of the resources available under the multi award winning Violence is Preventable (VIP) programme for young people, senior citizens and other vulnerable adults.

It includes full details of all VIP resources including packs, books, games, workbooks and activities as well as useful information and statistics, up to date news and contact details.

Aileen Hunter, PR Manager at Eighteen And Under said, ‘We’re excited about the launch because this site will enable parents, teachers, agencies, the media and other interest groups to find out what we do and how we can help get personal safety and violence prevention messages out there in communities across the UK. The site will build over the next few months into an invaluable reference centre for personal safety and violence prevention. We have a proven track record of success and our resources are adaptable and easy to pick up and use. I’d urge anyone who’s involved with children or vulnerable adults to take a look at the site.’

Eighteen And Under is extremely indebted to The Nationwide Foundation for their support and to web designers Cyber Solutions for all their help and expertise.

Lisa Parker, Chief Executive of The Nationwide Foundation said “we are delighted to be able to support Eighteen And Under in developing its innovative work over the next three years. The website will be a great benefit to share the excellent work and knowledge of Eighteen And Under with others across the UK to raise awareness and help those affected by violence”.
